Important Operational Points

To ensure the highest quality of service and safety for both our clients and our staff, we operate under the following guidelines:

Minimum Shift Requirement

All scheduled visits must be a minimum of four (4) continuous hours.

Exclusions

We do not provide any medical care, including injections, wound care, or medication administration.

Provider's Discretion

The final determination regarding caregiver assignment, scheduling changes, and the continuation of services rests with the Provider (Healing Horizon). We reserve the right to modify services or immediately cease care if the environment is deemed unsafe for our staff or the client.

Other Important Guidelines

Confidentiality

All personal, health, and financial information shared with Healing Horizon will be kept strictly confidential in accordance with all privacy regulations.

Emergency Procedures (Non-911)

If there is a non-life-threatening emergency or an urgent schedule change, please always call the main office line immediately. For medical emergencies, always call 911 first.

Caregiver Substitution

While we strive for consistency, we guarantee a caregiver, not a specific person. If your primary caregiver is ill or on vacation, a trained and qualified substitute will be provided to ensure uninterrupted service.

Feedback and Concerns

Your voice matters! We encourage you to contact the main office if you have any questions, compliments, or concerns about your care. We are here to listen and resolve issues quickly.

Getting Started with Care

We believe in fostering a trusting, respectful relationship. Please review these essential rights and policies: Your Rights: You have the right to respectful treatment, full information about your care, and the ability to refuse or discontinue services at any time. We respect your autonomy and choices. Caregiver-Client Boundaries: Our caregivers are prohibited from accepting gifts, loans, or tips. This policy ensures a professional relationship and protects both the client and the caregiver. Home and Property Security: While we take great care in your home, we recommend keeping valuables and cash secured. Our staff are prohibited from accessing private areas unless directly related to the agreed-upon services in your Care Plan.

You are now officially a client! Here are the immediate steps you can expect:

Care Plan Finalization: We will schedule a final review to complete Exhibit A (Care Plan and Schedule) to ensure every service and time slot meets your exact needs.

Step 2

Caregiver Matching: We will carefully match you with a trained, background-checked caregiver who is best suited for your personality and requirements.

Step 3

First Visit Confirmation: We will confirm the date and time of your first service visit and ensure you have an introduction to your primary caregiver.
